Post subject:  Bug: Coax Mode ignores Ant-Gravity SetUp. Pitch Jumps Down.

Hi, I have a Goblin 570 with Geolink and I set it up with one bank 0 only.
Steering between receiver and Spirit2 I'm doing via functions using the new channel selection modes in 3.4.
Transmitter is FrSky.
Bug:
I set up in the expert mode the anti gravity to 25%. That works fine.
Now I want to setup the Coax mode because I want to combine it with the Geolink "Position hold" and "Return to home" function.
When I start the coax mode via a separate channel setup, it works. When I activate the Coax, the swashplate goes down some degrees and the heli sinks unexpected.
I checkt it at home with the software. Then I found that the most difference is at full minus pitch and the less effect at full pitch when I switch between coax and regular mode.
I took the anti gravity value then from 25% to 0% for testing. The effect was gone. No jump of the swashplate any more. Taking anti gravity back to 25% the effect is again visible.
Then I switched in the software directly the bank 0 between Stabi normal and Coax mode by changing the Function field with the PC software. This shows the same effect, a jumping swash plate.

This shows me the the Coax Mode is generally not considering the anti gravity. This causes a jump of the swash plate down if you switch on the coax mode and has setup the anti gravity.
I have not checked, if other modes have the same bug.
From my point of view, this should be fixed immediately, because with high anti gravity values the swash jump can move the heli down to ground fast.

Best Regards
Bernhard

I think the coaxial mode is for learning to hang with a heli ... why do you combine it with antigravity, which is for 3D flying?

Hi Habásek,

I have my Goblin for just flying around and doing some aerobatic figures, no 3D. But the Anti Gravity is a great functionality I like very much for every of my Sports Helis. It make the heli sink and go up in the same speed. I like it in every flight mode.
Nevertheless, I installed the Geolink to have some fun with the automatic functions and to have some more security.
I'm using only one bank where I have 25% Anti Gravity.
Now in your manual I found is a recommendation for using the Geolink to switch into the Coax Mode before making "Return to home" or "Poison hold". I found this useful and logical to have the heli always with the landing gear direction to ground. This recommendation I followed.
That was the reason why I had now the situation to switch between normal flying and Coax mode. Independent how it is set up (bank or function), Coax is not recognising the Anti Gravity.
This causes every time a swash plate jump. This should not happen. Why I mentioned before.
Now I have 2 options. Get rid of the Anti Gravity or didn't use the Coax Mode.

By the way a beginner may not recognise this and may have trouble.

So the question is not using this combination. The question is to improve the software quality if a unexpected behaviour hs been found.

I would appreciate a correction. Maybe there are other similar options I do not know at the moment.

Best Regards

Bernhard

Hello,

problem was already corrected. It will be fixed in firmware update that will be released today actually.

Thank you very much for this finding.
