Post subject:  [SOLVED] Spirit GT - HoTT telemetry wrong RPM values

Hi Tomáš,

I hope you have had a nice and relaxing vacation. I have noticed that my RPM values which I'm receiving from my YGE speed controller are way too low. On my TDSF with Spirit GT I'm now reading 10 when it is supposed to be about 1100 and 20 when real RPM is at about 1350. I tested this in HoTT modes General and Electric and it made no difference. For a test I reduced my gear ratio from 11.30 down to 1.15 and I then got a reading of about 150. I am not completely sure but I think it only started after I updated from 3.3.2 to 3.3.2-r2. All other telemetry readings seem to be OK.

Best regards,
Bernd

Hello,

you have to set default values in your ESC and set the Gear Ratio in the Spirit unit.
Setting it at both places will result in a wrong calculation.

Thanks for that quick hint, it solved the issue. I set 2 poles, main gear to 1 and pinon to 1.

Perhaps it would be good if you add a corresponding entry into the ESC guide of the Spirit documentation.

Best regards,
Bernd

P.S.: I just orderd my second Spirit GT, really like it ;-)
