I have made many attempts to update to 1.3 but continue to be left without pitch and/or rescue. I tried holding the F5 key during download from the Spirit site with no luck. I even tried downloading to my IMac then bringing the firmware file over via memory stick to my Windows 8.1 laptop I use for my helis. Still no luck. I trashed all previous files before my update attempts. I am running a DX9 with a 7 channel DSMX Spektrum receiver with DSMX sat. I am using 1.3 software and, of course, 1.3 firmware. I know I am doing something wrong. Too many Spirit owners are having no problems with this update, and I would like to enjoy it with my X3, as well. Any help would be appreciated. Also, reverting back to 1.2 software and 1.21 firmware brings the heli back to working great. I love the Spirit system and look forward to purchasing the new Pro for my 550x soon. Thank you. :D

Probably not needed but for you to verify, I got 6FB3D13208E90F936933FAA441DBA41B for the firmware and F1C2195EE5082FEE1B581B159C969EE5 for the Windows executable.
(MD5 hash check.)
Have you done a reset to factory default and start the Wizard?
Can you grab a vbar or something to see if your TX is the problem?

If it's really stuck I hope Spirit will offer you to send it in for free.
You have a fix and the Spirit team can learn from it.

Keep us posted how this ends.

I believe that we will solve it very soon.

First from all, can you see any movement of the Pitch channel in the Diagnostic tab?
If no, then this is definitively only problem with downloaded firmware.

You can check if you the firmware is downloaded correctly by this online tool:
http://onlinemd5.com/

Here you can find the file that you are flashing and then you can paste "File checksum" here for comparison.

File checksum number is: 6FB3D13208E90F936933FAA441DBA41B

Pitch channel does not move in diagnostics tab.

Checksum is correct, so the file is downloaded properly.

I would like to ask you, if you can send your settings here.
You can just attach it and then it can be directly opened in our forum by integrated viewer.

I did a factory reset on the unit and reloaded 1.3 software and firmware once again, reentering all settings new in the software by hand from hand written backup. I re-flashed the firmware once again before closing the software then restarted the unit and now have pitch and rescue both working. I'm sure I was doing something wrong on my end. It seems to be working properly now. I'll fly it tomorrow or the next day as weather permits. Thank you for working with me on this. If something else comes up I will send the settings file and go from there.
