Post subject:  Gasser Whiplash vibration setup and problem

Hi spirit,

i buy a spirit flybarless for a whiplash gasser heli
and connect it with my DC-16 and Ex-Bus.

My first flight of the heli was very bad. I use the Setup Wizzard with de default values.
The feeling of stabilisation of the heli was very bad of Aileron and Elevator.

The Tail don't hold at pitch pumping.
I raise the gain of the tail up to 90% and it get a little better.
In Spirit Software i see that the default Rudder-Common-Gain is at 1.00x
When i select a TDR the Common-Gain is up to 1.40x

Cause this the problem with stabilisation?

regards

Hi,

if you can send more details about your helicopter I can give you some recommendations what to set.
What servos are you using?

It is important to configure Piro Consistency parameter for your helicopter too, else tail can't hold properly.
For Whiplash it should be approx. 170-180.

Rudder Common Gain for this size of helicopter should be at least 1.2x.

Can you describe "very bad" feeling of the cyclic?
Rotations (flips/rolls) were slow? Was it unstable? Have you observed oscillations?

You can upload here your settings so it could be easier to help you.

Tail: Futaba Bls 251

Ok i check it when im at home

Ok i change

At the test day we had wind gusts. The heli was not stable on cyclic against the wind.
No oscillation.
You have to hold against the wind gusts. I don't know how to describe.
I use other flybarless systems like CGY750, vortex vx1n, microbeast but the feeling was unstable at the Spirit.
Stabilisation mode and so on is off.

If you Pitch up the Whiplash it rolls a little to the right site.
Not straight up in the air.

I upload the settings at the evening.

Is it possible to check the vibration level with the DC-16 Radio?

Thank you for the fast help!
