I installed a Spirit Pro & Geolink on my Logo 690SE.
TS Servos are Align DS-610, Rudder is Align DS-650.
Speed Controller is Castle Phoenix Edge 120 HV.
Motor is Scorpion HK3 850kv.
HRB 6S 5000 Lipo.
Bec is CC Bec Pro with 3S Lipo.
Spektrum ix12 with Spektrum SPM4651T.

Gelink Firmware 1.4 from November 23

I am trying to setup this heli with usb connection.
Several times i lost connection and afterwards all settings are lost.
After restoring settings all seemes fine but then Geolink connection gets lost.

Logfile allways reads:
Supply voltage low
Sometimes also Gelink Data corupt.

I tried other bec-lipo, other bec but nothing changes.
What can i do?

I also have a Spirit GT & Geolink V2 but these should go to my Soxos Strike 7 so i do not want to use these in thie Logo.

Hello,

I recommend to unplug at least 2 servos and then retry.
If unit is rebooted and settings are not saved then they are returned back to previous condition.

CC BEC has quite low specs in reality (high at paper) but voltage drops under 3V quite often. On the other hand you servos are not drawing that much.
If the problem is related to BEC voltage then it can be resolved by connecting additional capacitor to the BEC.

It is very important to connect at least 2 cables from BEC output and the connectors must hold firmly without any servo cable extensions.

Indeed i have connected both Bec cables with y-cable to Aux2 because speed controller is connected to Aux1.
Where can I connect the second Bec cable?

By the way: I have connected SRXL2 at Sat Port. Is this ok?

What other bec can you recomend?
I am thinking of getting rid of the whole castle stuff and exchange it with another HW 120 which I am running ib two other helis.

If you suspect the bec on your cc esc isn’t working properly, a common way is to disconnect the red bec wire from the connector and either use a separate stand alone battery or install a stand alone CC BEC PRO or similar .
To test if this is your issue I would suggest powering the unit with a known good battery directly to the spirit unit and disconnect the cc bec . If your problem is gone then you know it’s the bec you’re using is causing the issue .

Today I switched over to a brand new Hobbywing Platinum 120A V4 with actual firmware.
I connected both bec-lines and after startup the logfile still says "supply voltage low".
I really do not know what to do know.
Is it possible that the spirit pro is damaged in any way?
Can I do other tests?
Should I send it in for further testing?

Try disconnecting the bec all together , disconnect all servos and use a battery plugged directly into the spirit unit . If you get the same message I would think it’s the unit .
If not try the bec without servos plugged in , still good ? Then it’s the servo pulling the power down .

I will check the servos next.
I tried the CC bec pro, another external bec and now the brand new hw 120 v4.
Allways the same error.
In addition i am not able to start spektrum analyzer.
Every time i start the program stops working and crashes.

So just a few minutes ago I tried without servos.
Spirit Pro just with both BEC-lines from the HW 120 V4.
Same error. Still Sypply voltage low.
Afterwards I have disconnected Geolink and now I do not get the low voltage error.
Whats going wrong here?
I tried again then with all servos connected.
No problem.
Then I just placed the conncetion wire to the Geolink without setting it to on in software and low voltage error is back again.
I will now try to connect the new Geolink V2 and see what happens.

I tried Geolink V2 -> supply voltage low
I tried Geolink V1 with new connection cable -> supply voltage low
I tried Geolink V2 with new connection cable -> supply voltage low

So it seems the problem is not the bec, not the servos, not the Geolink.
The problem seems to be the Geolink connection port at the Spirit pro.
I will do one last test and connect spektrum sat to that port and see what happens.

Also when a sat is connected the problem stays. Still supply voltage low.
So I guess the Spirit pro has a defective secondary port.

Until I can send the unit somewhere for further testing it makes no sense for me to spend more time with it.

without seeing the log it is hard to tell what is actual problem.
But BEC Voltage is low event can happen anytime when you disconnect the battery.
This is very normal if during operation some other important problem appear.
For example if you turn off radio it will store receiver signal lost event.

However if you can see Low BEC voltage multiple times it mean there is problem with BEC voltage. This is not related to GeoLink at all.
But if BEC voltage is that low (reported under 2.9V) all connected things will start to fail and they can't operate correctly. Including GeoLink.

If you can provide the log, it can be helpful.
