I have an original red Spirit that flies well, but noticed and unusual issue this year. Before spooling up, the swash will very very slowly tilt forward. So slowly that takes 20 - 30 seconds to fully tilt. I can level it using the elevator stick before taking off. Once flying I haven't noticed any issues and the heli flies like on rails.

However, most times after initialization, this behavior is not there, meaning the swash will self level as normal on the ground, even after moving the cyclic sticks.

This strange behavior happens only sometimes, but when it does happen, it exists until I cycle power, then it could be gone.

I have tried:
-increasing flight style to 4 in all banks
-increasing dead-band in the unit to the max
-resetting unit to factory settings

Any ideas on what could be the cause?
I'm always carefully to make sure the heli is still during fbl initialization.

Hello,

do you remember what changed during one year on the model?
No parameter will help with the problem.

Possibly ESC fan is an issue or big temperature difference - for example installation near hot ESC or hot motor or the unit had hard crashes that sensor is starting to be less precise.

Thanks for your ideas.
-the unit is not near heat source
-no fan
-this is the first year its on this new model. Previous model was was in a pretty hard crash.

So could be as you described, sensors not as accurate due to crash!
I will look at buying a new unit. Would you think it's still safe to fly?

Thank you're for your help!

One question on new units: I see Spirit Pro on the products webpage, but not in e-shop worldwide. Does this mean it's not longer available?
Thanks
Chris

Your unit could be 10 years old, but we can still repair it.
Spirit Pro is not sold anymore, it was replaced by newer units.

In any case the issue could be also caused by a radio potentiometer issue or too low Stick Deadband settings.
You can try to set default value - 10.

in the past I had a radio than in the monitor menu without moving the sticks moved the signal by itself.
when it happens check the monitor menu of the radio see if the signal moves by itself
in my case it was the potentiometers moisture entered I fixed it by opening them cleaning and after i sprayed a protective varnish
