Hello,

thank you for your message.

First from all I recommend to verify following:
1. Start the Spirit Settings and open the Servos tab
2. Click at the Subtrim (tuning)
3. All servo arms should be at the center at this moment - as close as possible to check with eye - usually it is hard to measure with other tools. If you are not sure, then please take a photos of the servos in this moment.
4. Check if swashplate is really levelled at the same time - still in the Subtrim (tuning) menu.
5. Check if there is 0° between main blades - still in the Subtrim (tuning) menu.

All these steps must be checked and configured it is really good - all at the same time, because all Altitude related features are dependent on precise configuration of the swashplate/blades.

Hi Tomas,

as you advised i checked the settings in the subtrim menu. With engaged subtrim Swashplate is leveled. 0 degrees between the blades and all servo arms at the center.

Please see the pictures

Today i did another check flight. It's still the same problem. Position hold is ok. Auto Landing is way to fast down movement. RTH does not reach the return height as set in the settings tab. Should be 8 m. Rapid down movement by switching RTH.
Pitch still 2/3 of the stick movement necessary for hovering.

I try to upload my film with a helmet cam. It's not best quality but i hope you can see the problem.

Upload not possible because of spirit system error 500.

Best regards

Markus

Tried to upload a video. Neither .mov nor .mkv video upload is possible. It shows a window: Ebola.cz internal server error 500

How to upload a video?

Thanks

Hello,

thank you for your details!

You have to upload video on a page for a file sharing servers. For example:
https://files.fm/

Then send the link here. Your video is likely too big, for this reason it can't be uploaded here.

I also want to ask if you are waiting for GeoLink LED light to be steady on before lift off?
You can try to wait little longer, for example 20 seconds before lift off more (after GeoLink LED is on) if there will be a difference.

Yes. This time i waited really long for the steady light on GeoLink Modul. You stated it in your comments to wait.

On my video i captured the solid blue GeoLink light

When i remember correctly my transmitter told me the GeoLink has 12 satellites.

Today i tried my Trex 600 and my TRex 700 both with the newest updates and the GeoLink.

The behaviour is totally different from my TRex 450.

> by switching RTH they go on the predefined height in the settings, 8m and 10m; the TRex 600 is wobbling a little bit over the nick axis;

> by switching Pos. hold they nearly rest on the same place; even the TRex 600 is wobbling over the nick axis;

> by switching Auto Landing the TRex 600 comes slowly down ( setting is 22% ) with a light wobbling over the nick axis and the TRex 700 needs a lot of time for landing although there is the same landing velocity ( 21% ); the TRex 700 goes little up and down during Auto Landing like he's pumping... what setting should be changed with this behaviour?

With the wobbling on the Trex 600 over the nick axis i changed the nick filter to 2 but without effect. Which parameter should be changed?
Without GeoLink functions there is no wobbling over the nick axis.

Is it possible that the GeoLink Modul on my TRex 450 is defect because of the different behaviour ( loss in height during RTH; very fast AutoLanding although slow landing velocity ) ? Or is it a settings related factor?

Thanks in advance

PS: If you need videos i capture each flight in test phasis.

Hello,

I will check carefully video and settings.
If you can see a corrections when GeoLink function is enabled then please decrease Horizontal Correction Gain.
If there is pumping in vertical axis then decreasing Vertical Correction Gain should help.

In any case your GeoLink will be likely good, but in theory it could be affected by a BEC voltage.

Altitude Land speed depends on how model is stable. If unit will recognize there is a movement then it will wait little bit. For this reason it can be slower.

You can swap GeoLink units by removing two screws and replacing electronics without dismounting bottom cover. In this way you can make sure if this is related to module or your settings with 100% certainty. But I am rather 99% confident it is dependent on model and settings.

Do you have GeoLink v2 on all helicopters or there is v1 too?

I have all 3 GeoLinks and 1 Spirit GTR bought in your shop. They are V2 and i think from the same batch. The other 2 Spirits GTR i bought in netherlands or belgium.

I will try settings with suggested values for horizontal and vertical.

About the wobbling over nick axis what can i change here?

Thanks
