On my 470lm with castle edge lite 50. the actual rpm does not match requested rpm.
The rpms in idle 1,2 and 3 will also vary by quite alot depening on if i flick it out of throttle hold to idle 3 or idle1 first.

castle is set to multirotor mode
If max rpm in spirit to 3100 and i click it from throttle hold to idle 1
I request 1600 but get 1800
then when I change it directly to idle 3 I request 3100 but get 2850

if I click it from throttle hold to idle 3
and request 3100 i get 3100
but when i change mode directly to idle 1 and requested 1600 I get 2500

Tried playing with all the gov settings but the problem remains.
tried different rpms but he overall behavior remains end actual rpms are not what I expect like on other birds. When using internal castle gov rpms are correct
even changed from spirit2 to spirit gt and set it up from scratch. Behavior is the same
My goblin with hobbywing 80a does not do this with spirit gov
but I will test more copters because I have noticed wierd rpms on my 450 with align esc and beastx rpm sensor some times

What am I doing wrong you think?

6 poles = Sensing Divide must be 3!
gear ratio is ok, 11

The Polecount on the 470 motor is 8 (470mx)
The castle governor is turned off. esc in multirotor mode with fixed endpoints

I have just tested my t-rex 450L as well with orginal 6s motor (460mx). orginal align esc and beastx rpm sensor.

It is experiencing the same issue.
with maximal rpm in governor set to 3200rpm and requested rpm in
idle1= 1800
idle3= 3200

When I click it out of throttle hold directly to idle 1the heli spools up like normal but to 2050rpm
I the click it to idle 3. requested rpm changes to 3200 actual rpm is 3200.

when I throttle hold it and then go directly to idle 3. requested rpm is 3200 actual rpm is 3200
it then click it to idle1 requested rpm is 1800 actual rpm is 2200

i am able to get to the acutal rpms when turning off the governor and using flat curves on both birds

My goblin 380 is not experiencing this issue for whatever reason. it has the same settings but I run a hobbywing esc with spirit gov
it gets to the correct rpms whatever flight modes I start in. be it idle 1 or 3

:? :?

This?
https://www.live-hobby.de/Zubehoer/RC-Elektronik/Flybarless-Systeme/BEASTX/BEASTX-Brushless-RPM-Sensor-universal-BXA76013.html

Power supply goes to this sensor how? There is a weak voltage from the SAT position (only 3.3V), it must be powered from rx or aux in the unit.
Are both wires connected to the motor cables?

The sensor is connected to two of the motors phase wires.
it is powered from the aux2 connector. The 450L used to have a hobbywing sensor, but in was very noisy in comperison the the beastx.
The sensor gives a clean stable and reasonable rpm reading it looks like.
the same as the tach

This is a hard nut to crack.

why is the rpm different when I start from TH to idle 3 then to 1? to when I start fromTH to idle 1 the requested rpm is the same in the spirit software yet actual rpm is not
this does not make sense to me.
the throttle output from radio is the same.
the outputs in diagnostic match the radio on all endpoints and centers.
the throttle ranges are reasonable on both escs
the rpm output from sensor and esc is correct it seems.
