Hi,

I finished uSpirit setup wizzard and gave my omphobby m2 a test.
It has a severe tail wag. Please see in this video: https://youtu.be/5_qkIB8d_CE
I tried various gain values, it has no effect on the tail. It always does this wag.
Here are some relevant screenshots in software

Where could be the problem?

Please set Priouettte Consistency to value around 80. Then it will be much better.

I just tried, very small improvement but still not flyable. I could raise it 10 cm in air an noticed maybe 1 second delay to left and right rudder and wag still there

Then please decrease it even more and also increase Rudder Delay to for example 25.
We will be finishing M2 setup this week, so I can let you know exact parameters.

Can you tell me what ESC and wiring you are using?

What frequency you have set for Tail?

Main motor ESC: https://www.banggood.com/Emax-Bullet-Se ... 15126.html
Tail motor ESC + BEC: https://www.banggood.com/EMAX-BLHeli-Se ... 63634.html

WIRING: Rudder ESC signal + BEC +5v in port CH4

Improved a bit but still not flyable: https://youtu.be/uj5zFf3EU80

Lowered params to this:

I dont know these ESCs, but it is very important to set as high frequency for tail motor as possible.
This can affect performance significantly.

I`m not able to get consistent results
From the ESC manual I get this:

I tried switching to 22kHz but now I`m not able to properly find ESC endpoints with the sliders.
I also tried to change the timing but somehow I`m not able to program the ESC anymore, looks a bit faulty

Is there any esc that you would recommend using along with the uSpirit? ideally it should also have a BEC but that is not mandatory since I can use a pololu step down to 5v

the frequency on the ESC is not the factor which is important but the timing.

But mor important are the setting in spirit software for frequency, and funny but true the rudder delay.
What are your parameters here ?

What I can recommend is to use uSpirit + OMP stock ESC !!!
It is simple wiring to connect stock ESC, and on top you get RPM to uSpirit as well. There is no better ESC combination available.
I tested a lot, and found some good combination with Hobbywing ESC's, but as said - came back to stock ESC, as this is best match and easy to use

rudder delay I tried 5 and 25, neither worked.

@fassla can you please help me with the wiring?
here is a screenshot of the stock ESC, what goes where?

I can see you have rudder frequency 50Hz, switch to 333Hz, and delay to 0.
