My SPIRIT 2 sometimes behaviors very strangly,
it turn/roll the swashplate sometimes suddenly to left/right. it almost damage my helicopter!

and just now after it suddenly turn left, all 3 servos stay in strong jitten/trembling state, can not be stopped, only when i disconnect the battery and reconnect.

but i think i could not flight with it, before the issue being resolved.

I think it may defect?
or some setting could lead to such behaviors ?
i mainly follow the setup wizard then do a little bit more settings.

should i sent back to repair?

can i upload video to forum? or only through youtube?

What is your complete setup? E.g., Servo make & model, ESC make & model, BEC voltage level, receiver & transmitter setup, etc. etc.

Hello,

this can be caused for example by wrong receiver settings.
Unfortunately from your message we dont know any details about your model and unit settings.

Swashplate: H3-120, 3x Servo: NEXSPOR CLS2310S (1520µs, 333Hz)
Rude Servo: CLS2305T (760us, 560Hz)

Transmitter: FUTABA T16SZ
Receiver: FUTABA 7008SB

ESC: ROXXY 940-6-SV (the S.BUS2 version for FUTABA version)
ESC not connected to SPIRIT 2 throttle output.
ESC is conencted to S.BUS2 port of FUTABA 7008SB receiver.
no Governor is activated (not in ESC and not from SPIRIT or receiver)
BEC: 6V

SPIRIT 2:
SPIRIT 2 is also conneted to S.BUS2 port of FUTABA 7008SB (i.e. it is parallel connected
with the ESC to S.BUS2 port of receiver),
(question: shall i connect the SPIRIT 2 to the S.BUS port or S.BUS2 port of the FUTABA 7008SB?)

Heli Mechanic: Trex450 DIY, carbon + metal, blade 325mm
Motor: align 460MX (gear ratio 11:121)
Mechanic Vibration: my feeling is not strong.

Transmitter: FUTABA T16SZ
Swashplate setting: H1

Receiver: FUTABA 7008SB
only the S.BUS2 port of 7008SB is used to connect the 1. SPIRIT 2, 2. S.BUS2 ESC and
3. FUTABA S.BUS RPM-sensor sbs01rm
all Telemetry of the ESC and FUTABA RPM-Sensor works

ESC: ROXXY 940-6-SV (the S.BUS2 version for FUTABA)
ESC not connected to SPIRIT 2 throttle output.
ESC is conencted to S.BUS2 port of FUTABA 7008SB receiver.

SPIRIT 2:
SPIRIT 2 is also conneted to S.BUS2 port of FUTABA 7008SB (i.e. it is parallel connected
with the ESC to S.BUS2 port of receiver) (question: shall i connect the SPIRIT 2 to the
S.BUS port or S.BUS2 port of the FUTABA 7008SB)
Gyro Gain seeting: no channel selected, Gyro Gain is controlled by SPIRIT 2 itself

Mechanic: Trex450 DIY, carbon + metal,
Motor: align 460MX (gear ratio 11 : 121)
helicopter Vibration: not very strong

SPIRIT Flybar setting: Flybar Mechanic
other SPIRIT 2 SW settings: the attached .4ds

Hello,

it is enough to connect unit to S.BUS port instead of S.BUS2.
2 port is used only when you want to use telemetry with Spirit unit and has different connection.
This is described in Futaba telemetry page.

S.BUS port should be connected just with a normal cable to RUD.

Hello ZeXx86,
thanks for answer.
ok, i will change the connection today.
due to the "suddenly turn of swashplate" may totally damage the heli,
is that possible that you help to check if the SPIRIT settings (the "spirit2-450-setting06.4ds" which was uploaded in my last reply) are correct?

In the SPIRIT manual, I do not find much discriptions related to transmitter setting.
How to set the transmitter (FUTABA T16SZ)?
any manual or example can be taken as example?

before start the motor, i had check the swashplate and rudder movement direction (rotate the heli on hand and check if the SPIRIT will contrl the swashplate and rudder in the reverse direction), it seems they works correctly.

i had also flight this heli with SPIRIT2 two times, it seems correct no error at that time.
the Jitten/Trembling happens also from the begining when i got the SPIRIT. it happens sporadically (not very offen).
but yesterday it appear again. and can not be stopped without reconnect the battery.

after changing the connetion to FUTABA receiver from S.BUS2 to S.BUS, now SPIRIT 2 is connected to S.BUS port(7008SB, port 8/SB, with configuration it as S.BUS port) of receiver.

the strange behavior do not happen today and the day before yesterday.

Question 1:
will the patch-cable connection from RUD to S.BUS2 lead to the such instability of the SPIRIT2 ?
just try to understand the root-cause and avoid future mistake. :D

Question 2:
to use Telemetrie, I still need to connect the SPIRIT2 to S.BUS2 (instead of S.BUS), right?
i.e. i need to follow the instruction in "http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.php?title=Futaba_Telemetry",
use the "FrSky Integration cable with modification" instead of simple patch-cable, right?

Question 2.2:
and only ESC telemetrie are supported, no other Telemetrie data from SPIRIT2 itself, right?

Hi

Got the same radio a same receivers on some of my Helis.
I use sbus from the Reciver directly to the rud port of the spirit.

This happens a lot to me too.
No matter what I play with the settings the same happens.
Sometimes just after I connect the battery or sometimes after a few minutes of no activity for example when am doing some setup. The heli will start to shake for some time.
Normally I will just ignore the problem and fly.
Looks like some kind of communication errors from the Reciver to the spirit unit

Happenes with your same original futaba model Reciver or or other futaba receivers. Same thing with the cheaper ones.

In some models I give more power to the spirit unit with a secondary cable from the bec to the aux port.... Same issue

Move the sticks up and down and will stop

You have to use S.BUS port, not S.BUS2.

For telemetry FrSky integration cable must be used - in this case please proceed according Futaba telemetry guide.

Then all will be good.

1) Yes, definitively it will cause this problem. It is very easy to verify, just reconnect cable.

2) Yes
