Trying to set-up using a Futaba R6208 S-bus Rx (also has 1-8 channels), with 10-C TX and a 12FG TX.
Using the Spirit inverter.

Cannot get the correct readings or anything close. After assigning the channels: Aileron: 1, Elevator, 2, Throttle, unassigned, Pitch, 6, Rudder, 4, Gyro, 5.

The readings are nowhere near correct. Elevator only responds to aileron stick movement. Aileron does not respond at all. Switching channels around gives odd numbers like -118, or the channel only uses half of the channel.

Have checked the servo monitor function-seems correct. Have checked that trim is zeroed, no mixes in play, linear curves, no offsets.

Could this be a bad inverter?

Tom

Hi,

it should be enough when you set very default channel mapping in your TX and the unit as well.
Default settings should work out of the box.

I agree.

Any thoughts as to how I can proceed. I have tried a different s-bus rx with the same results. I have been trying to get through this step for about four hours now. Don't know what else to try.

I keep looking for something in each of the two radios I've used which are my main radios and work flawlessly. Have used new models.

In the unit, you can set factory settings (so there is: -, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, - in the channel assignment window). Remember to set Futaba S-Bus receiver type and save the settings.

In your Futaba, it should be:
1. Aileron J1
2. Elevator J2
3. Thorttle J3
4. Rudder J4
5. Gyro --
6. Pitch J3

NOTE: Channel numbering does not correspond between each other, but that is very normal.

You can set 7CH/10CH/MULT. Also be sure you do not use any CCPM mixing in your transmitter.

After Pressing "return to factory defaults" and entering and saving the channel information, then closing the software on the PC and restarting the unit, the responses were as expected. Now working property on either radio. It seems like the unit was not picking up the correct neutrals, now it is.
