Need to know if i should change out the 115mm tail blades to 105mm tail blades i
cant seem to get tail wag to go away .It also has a 3 blade head but thats not the problem .
I have Gyro in TX set at only 9 and no multiplyer in the set up .tail dosent move in full collective punch outs
just a bit of wag . I have the same tail setup in a 770, 3 blade Heli and it runs multiplier of 1.2 and 30 in tx ,no wag
Kyle Stacys video on the 700 tripple tripple says to change out the 115mm to the 105 mm any thoughts would be welcome

Hi,

if you are using same tail blades as for 2 bladed tail then the gain is mechanically increased very noticeably.
You can try to decrease Pirouette Consistency to 150-160.
This could help.

A shorter tail blades are better for sure. You can also try a shorter tail servo arm.

Gyro Gain should be ideally around 50% to get optimal performance.

I guess I should let you all know ,especially Thomas that I have fixed the slow tail wag . I did have a Bk 8005 tail servo in which Spirit does not like i guess. I have tried many settings even gov settings to get rid of the wag , nothing worked.
I removed the servo installed a kst one and the wag was totally gone go figure.
I would like to know WHY Spirit does not like BK tail servos and will there be a update that will fix the issue .

Hello,

it is great you have figured it!

Spirit likes any servo available in the market, except few from BK. This is same for other FBL units too.
So rather it is independent from FBL unit. It seems to be a bad design. Personally I do not recommend using any BK servo.
But even any other super cheap servos will work well.

Unfortunately there is nothing we could do about it. BK have even Spirit unit for testing for several years but probably never tested anything...

I was wonder which BK servos are a problem. I just ordered the DS-7002HV and DS-7006HV for a new Goblin 570 build. Just want to make sure that these are not going to cause a problem.
Thanks

I’m pretty sure it’s all tail servos cyclic servos are fine .

Unfortunately we have experience that some BK cyclic servos are not good too.
But this is rather a manufacturing issue. There are usually 3 different manufacturing problems from partially cut wires to bad potentiometers.
