That's confusing because earlier in this thread its stated you can use the 3 banks independent of the rescue. Banks on channel 7 and rescue on Gyro channel 5. Now your saying Rescue and stabilization are on channel 5 Gyro.

Brain does Bank switching on channel 7 and rescue on channel 8. With auto level on any or all three banks. Now its true there auto level is very robotic and not adjustable and there rescue is still suspect. But there setup is more straight forward.

Really need clarification.

lostmyheli, the "three independent flight mode plus rescue" was, if I understood correctly, a question specific to Futaba, and to the flight modes (IdleUp3 is mentioned). That specific part has nothing to do, as buell47 answered to the OP, with the Banks feature.

Your questions about "channel 7" was different, and my answer was trying to shed some light on the key facts about the integration of Banks feature with the Stabi features.

For me, the key points are:
- any one Bank can have only one Stabi feature configured
- to activate a Stabi feature, you use negative gyro gain
- to change gain you need to use one channel, or you have the option of setting gyro gain in Spirit (one fixed pos or neg value per Bank)
- to switch banks you need to use one channel

That said, depending on your needs, you will have to find the specific solution, which MAY involve using multiple switches and/or playing with multiple channels in the radio (mixes etc).

If I understand correctly YOUR question, you want:
- Bank 0 for normal non-stabilized flight
- Bank 1 for Stabi Normal
- Bank 2 for Stabi Acro
AND Rescue available regardless of which Bank you are currently flying with.

For this, you will have to setup Spirit Bank 0 for Rescue as Stabi function.

But then:
- for normal non-stabilized flight, you need to be in Bank 0 with positive gain
- for Stabi Normal flight, you need to be in Bank 1 with negative gain
- for Stabi Acro flight, you need to be in Bank 2 with negative gain
- for Rescuing, you need to move to Bank 0 with negative gain

Giving for granted that you will want to use one switch for changing the "flight type" and another switch to activate Rescue... you can imagine that you will need both switches to act on both channels (bank switch and gain).

Hope this sheds some light.
