hi guys, I m asking for some help since I can't set properly my g570 with castle 120hv , using internal governor of spirit.
My first problem is.. I can't get the same rate of requested rpm and currenty rpm.
I m using xnova so I put 4 poles ( 8 divided by 2) and since I m using a 24 pinion, gear ratio is 8.5.
Other than that, What should I do for let the 2 rates have the same value?
I m using an xnova 560kv 12s set up.
How many rpm do you suddgest ? I can do a soft 3d.
thanks!!
Mattia.

Hi,

what values do you see for Current RPM and Requested RPM?

Is spoolup fast or smooth from the beginning?

Even if main governor parameters are wrong, it should still reach same RPM.
Only in case that ESC is not calibrated well (especially top limit) it might not be able to reach desired RPM, because it thinks there is a limit.
You can set Min. and Max. Throttle Range values according to the default values of your ESC. Then it should be fine.

Have you followed this CC Edge Setup guide?
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1364

in regards of rpm I use:
On 600er: 1650 (73%) for hoovering / 2050 (91%) for soft 3d and Sports / 2250 (100%) for 3D
On 550er: 1800 (72%) for hoovering / 2200 (88%) for soft 3d and Sports / 2500 (100%) for 3D

Regards, Adrian

Hi Tomas and Adrian, I m really sorry if I m replying only now But I m very busy with my school and didn't have time to tried it yet.
So before every problem , What I did yesterday was start from the beggining by set max and min of my esc.
I bought it from second hand and I didn't do that before.
But..I alread have this problem : I can't set it.
WHat I did was :
- connect esc link, open the program, set verything following a guide found on youtube, set helicopter mode and fixed end points.
- after that I set on my tx linear curve throttle, travel adj 50% for both ( max and min ) and hold was off.
- plugged the lipo with stick at the max, starting hearing beeps from the esc
- start increasing the value of the max travel adj but,it doesn't beep..never! I was also up to 140%.
- I did this many time but without result.
- if I try to go with the stick on the lowest position, even if I didn't hear the beep, the motor starts running.
What could be wrong? I spent so many hours doing this yesterday without any result :(
Thanks.

Hi Matty

If you follow my guide, there is no requirement to adjust any travel. Set ESC im External Gov Mode with fix endpoints.
Make sure you got latest FW on Spirit as well as on CC Edge.
Adjust you TX to meet 0%..100% for Hold and Full in diagnostics, than set in Spirit Gov Tab min to 900us and max to 1930us and add 100us on Spoolup ramp and your done.
Comment: Any TX value lower than 0% or higher than 100% won't have any effect on TC Signal to ESC as its hard decked by min/max range in Spirit, saying this 140% won't do anything.

Link to the CC Setup Guide: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1364
Just ignore the Bailout setup on TX side to start with and get it running, this can be added later.
Let me know if you have any question to one of the steps I described in the guide, so I can help you as I don't know what manual and Vids your referring to.
I did setup multiple CC Edges and Spirits in this way and it's working great on any of them within 10 minutes.
If your CC edge is not broken, I'm sure we can get it running as well.

Hi Matty, You mentioned you increased TC and could not hear beep. If you use Governor from spirit you won't hear beeps on full TC, as TC is controlled by Spirit. You can plug a Y-Cable with Servos to ESC Port on Spirit to monitor (Servo Move) what's send to ESC.

In terms of trouble shooting, we should start from some known point:
Have you been able to run your CC Edge with V-Curve? No Gov, just V-curve?
CC in Vehicle Type: Helicopter with Fixed endpoints, no Autorotation selected.
In this mode, endpoints of CC are fix: ARM/OFF <1200us FULL>1900us.
In Spirit matching 0..100% in Diagnostics out of TX as done before.
Throttle range, min value 1100us and max 1920us, no Gov selected.
Add a Servo with Y-Cable to ESC Port to monitor in parallel what's send to ESC.
This way you should be able to run your motor and control rpm with classical V-Curve out of you TX.
Hold: 0% / N: 80-75-70-75-80 / 1: 90-85-80-85-90 / 2: 100-95-90-95-100

Based on your setup with 560KV and 12S with gear 8.5 you should get in ID2 around 2600-2700rpm on hoover:
560KV*12*3.7/8.5*0.9 = 2630rpm

Pls let me know if this works. Adrian
