I believe the manual refers to receiver output as seen by the spirit, not the governor output that the post above talks about

You right and its a wrong number in the manual, all what count is 12%
From RX to Spirit 1100us eq 0% 1900us eq 100%
So 12% eq 1196us, discussed with Tomas, I suggest to only to mention % on RX side (input) and us on ESC side (output) in the manual.

Tried your min and range tonight and they work. However, the diagnostics screen shows 18% instead of 15%. Is this within the margin of error? This does not seem like an exact science to me. Also, in these instructions:

I repeated the calcs for what I found by trial and error and computed numbers that were very close:
Trial and error: min/range = 1060/90
Calculation: min/range = 1042/99
Close enough for me!

As I mentioned earlier, your computed numbers got me close, but diagnostic says throttle at 18%. I then used trial and error to find the values that resulted in the diagnostic being exactly 15%. They are 1030 and 100. Again, works perfect.

I'm satisfied that I not only have this working, but that I understand it, and thanks go to you for that. I owe you!

Lastly, I really like your idea of adding 14% to TH when you do auto training. Brilliant! I plan to implement that myself and try it out. Before I do that, however, I will test everything out using the technique I have been using, which is called "idle on bailout." (Credit OnTheSnap on Helifreak, or Alex Rose). It's very simple actually. I simply add a few points to my TH such that the motor runs at a few hundred rpm when I'm doing an auto. This does not interfere with the auto in any way, and when on the ground the blades turning very slowly is a reminder to me that I am in TH (fast spoolup) instead of TC (slow spoolup). It's also a tad easier on the gear train when I do bailout.

Good point with remaining rpm, like the concept as well. However if I have to do a real auro or crash my heli, I don't wanna any remaining power on Motor or ESC. Also if I do auro training and my bird tips over with blocking rotor but still powered motor with just view rpm :?
That's where I tought about the training switch concept, to make it emergancy save.

I suggest 950 for trail and error to be on save overlap of motor not turning but ARB activated.
On step6, As long as diagnostics shows between 12 and 50 your fine, i did end up on one bird with 30% till motor stared.
All you wanna be is nice above 12% to be sure ARB kicks in when needed during training.
