I have a 2001 vintage Hirobo Sceadu HPM that is a mechanical swashplate mix (i.e. not CCPM) and has a flybar.

I already have a Spirit FBL unit and would like to use it with the Sceadu to control the tail only and also offer rescue.

Does the airframe need to be converted to CCPM or can the Spirit work with a mechanical mix swash?

There is a CCPM conversion kit available but I would like confirmation that it is really needed

Thanks.

It looks like 90° swashplate mixing is used on the heli, so it should work.

What swashplate type do you use in your transmitter for the flybar head?
It looks like there are two elevator servos and 1 aileron. With CCPM 90° settings and 90° swashplate phase rotation it could work without any problem.

Thanks for the reply.

There is only a single servo for each swash function i.e. 1 servo for collective pitch function; 1 servo for elevator function; 1 servo for roll function.

Swash type is H1 in Futaba language so no swash mixing at all in the Tx.

It should work with CCPM 90 swashplate type well.
This mean that aileron, elevator and pitch is all separate and are driven by the single servo.
