How does redundancy work in spirit2? According to specifications it is powered by 3 - 15Vdc.

Could you connect an esc in AUX1 and a 3s lipo battery directly to the AUX2 port?

The spirit2 is fed by the esc and if the voltage drops it is fed directly from the lipo battery (AUX2)?

Hello,

this mean that there are two dedicated voltage regulators inside the unit.
One is for powering the main processor and all critical internal parts and has additional backup capacitor.
The other is specially for Spektrum connectors where you can connect a various peripherals.
In case of malfunction of any peripheral the unit will still work without any problem.

With other units everything will fail if some peripheral will fail. So for example a short of a cable (this is happening with a Spektrum satellites) or some damage to the GeoLink or telemetry cables will not have influence on the flight. So it is increasing safety a lot.
