Thinner and stronger is best for this unit. Vibrations are no issue. Issues can arise if the unit is not firmly mounted though.

I really like the gray 3m outdoor mounting tape as it is very firm.

Then I have all I need and I'm waiting now for delivery of my new Spirit and Bluetooth Modul :-D

Spirit comes with 3M double sided tape and all needed peripherals, so you do not need anything more ;)
